Pianist

Pianist

[iPhone God App] It was found using the Pianist actually

The first widely available mobile multi-touch piano, Pianist has been featured in a number of Apple advertising campaigns, been consistently in the iTunes Top 100 Music Apps list, and was one of the 'Awesome iOS4 Apps' in an Apple iTunes promotion. Sound On Sound magazine listed Pianist in its pick of the Top 20 iPhone Apps, and T3 Magazine in its Top 100 iPhone Apps. Pianist has also been recommended by media sources such as the Mail On Sunday and Fox News.

- Full 88 key piano keyboard sampled from a real piano for maximum authenticity.

- Record and save your compositions for later playback. Overdub as many times as you want, and remove unwanted notes.

- Virtual "Soft" and "Sustain" pedals, and expression depending on where you press the key.

- Optional dual keyboard layout allows you to reach even more keys without the need to scroll. Up to four octaves can be displayed and played at once.

- Stay in time with a completely configurable metronome.

Much more realistic than all other piano apps I've bought.

Has the features the others lack - multi keyboard - octave control. Sound samples are ok, but have heard better in other apps.

BEST Piano app IMHO. Works great on 3GS. Only thing missing—you can't play it along with the iPod—otherwise, fabulous!

All the users giving bad reviews just cant see the power of this amazing app. It's by far the best instrument simulator I've seen on iPhone. It includes many details, and will be more appreciated by actual pianists. The record and re-record function is great! To the developer, I would love to see the ability to fast forward and/or change the tempo of the recordings in a future update (it is difficult to reproduce any fast pieces)

Beaut sound, great for when you get that tune in your head that you need to get recorded before you forget it! It's never crashed my phone once - discount price is worth it.

At the discount price, this app is great. Sometimes it's a bit hard to use but otherwise it's great!

Keyboard layout is much nicer than the equivalent apps. Sounds more realistic too. Worth the discount price!

Of course you don't have full size keys etc. However, for what it is, it works. A nice addition would be auto keyboard scrolling when you're within 2 keys of the edge. Otherwise, another well written app. Great for ideas and tinkering, love it.

The only improvement that could be made is the ability to play more complex chords. Also, extra keyboard instruments could be added e.g. Organ, synthesiser and electric piano.

Brilliant little piano. More useful to me than Band, as it has a much higher quality piano sound, and the larger keys are easier to play by far. You can shift by half-octaves, so you get a more useful range, and with overdubbing and get quite complex performances happening.
