The app give you access to two Classic British Radio Comedies- over 150 episodes from 'Take It From Here' and 23 episodes from 'The Navy Lark'.
Take It From Here (often referred to as TIFH) was the popular British Radio comedy program written by Frank Muir and Denis Norden. It ran from 1948 until 1960. The show is perhaps most famous for introducing The Glums. It was one of the first shows with a significant segment consisting of parody of film and book styles.
The Glums, an uncouth dysfunctinal family, was introduced to the show in the first episode of the second season. The popularity of th sketch resulted in The Glums becoming a regular part of the show.
The constant sources of delight in The Glums were the brilliant dialogue and beautifully conceived comic situations.
The Navy Lark was a radio sit-com about life aboard a British Royal Navy frigate named HMS Troutbridge, based in HMNB Portsmouth.
Episodes were self-contained, although there was continuity within the series. A normal episode consisted of Sub Lt Phillips, scheming Chief Petty Officer Pertwee, and bemused Lt. Murray trying to get out of trouble they created for themselves without their direct superior, Commander (later Captain) "Thunderguts" Povey finding out. Scenes frequently featured a string of eccentric characters, often played by Ronnie Barker or Jon Pertwee.
