This App produces 'comparison' charts and numbers for Stocks, ETFs (Bonds, Currency, Commodities as well) and Mutual Funds, for most global stock markets, and goes back to 1987.
The App also computes instant point to point security returns over any time interval as well. So you could see the return on SPY from July 31 2011 to today, both as Price Only and/or Total return.
Most major finance websites provide 'price return' charts only, thus excluding critical return information that can create the problem of inversion in performance ranking (when assets are compared) and potentially misleading comparison charts. This App fixes that.
The chart date range is entirely user determined and there is no limitation on the number of tickers that can be inputted, at one time. One of the unique features of the App is that it can simultaneously plot the 'Total returns' as well as the 'Price returns' on the same ticker along with other tickers in the compare mode (use ON/OFF button), to instantly see the income yield differential.
To the best of our research, no other App or website offers the combination of features that this does. The App covers both US and Global stock markets and has history going back to 1987. Lite vs FULL Version: While all functionality is retained in the 'Free' version, it has a limitation of 8 cycles of use per day, max of two tickers and a max history of 9 months. In this Full version there are no such limitations (earliest date 1987).
*Entering an invalid / nonexistent stock ticker will not yield the desired output ... a simple way to check if the ticker is valid is to see if it exists on Yahoo finance. App not designed to run on unofficial iOS devices.*
