[iPhone God App] It was found using the Wildwalks actually

This app gives you access to topographic maps, tracknotes, photos, terrain profiles and heaps more information for near 1000 walks in NSW.

The walks range from 3 mins strolls to multi-day hiking adventures.
Something for everyone from parents taking a stroll with their kids through to remote overnight hikes. Most walks are in National Park, State Forests or Council bushland reserves.

Every walk has a photo gallery, topographic map, terrain profile, tracknotes, details on getting to the trackhead, weather info, user feedback and more.

You can download any of the walks and store the maps, photos and tracknotes on your iPhone, so it still works when you wander out of phone reception. And yes, there is a little blue dot on the map showing your GPS location, assuming you have a GPS on your device :)

The photos in the gallery link back and forth to the topomap. The tracknotes also link to each waypoint on the map, making it easier for you to just read the bits you need now.

Many walks are 'reversible'. So if the walk goes from Thornleigh to Hornsby, then click on the A->B button and the tracknotes, maps and photo gallery will now take you from Hornsby to Thornleigh.

You can use the handy filter to choose walks based on public transport, length, grade, park or other criteria. Explore your filtered walk results in either list or map mode.

All wheelchair accessible and short walks can be downloaded for free. There is a small in-app purchase for other walks that you choose to download. If you don't want to spend this money, follow the link and you can print the PDF from the Wildwalks website for no charge.

As much of this app works offline, there is a fair bit of data to manage in the app. When the Wildwalks Website is updated your app will download new databases. These updates can take a little while, but it helps keep you up to date with the latest info.

The maps are good, but not perfect. Some creeks and sections of the coast lines look a bit silly. The maps, as with all the data, is constantly improving.

The Wildwalks website has proven very popular with people exploring the great bushwalks and hikes in NSW in Australia.

Now this app lets you take it offline.

I hope you enjoy the app. It has been fun exploring these walks. I hope you enjoy the walks as much as I did, there are so many great places to explore. Happy walking
