A peak current of 210mA creates only a very weak magnetic field. In many real world situations, currents are much stronger. It is often times possible to pick up those alternating magnetic fields from a larger distance.
EMF frequencies of electrical equipment with transformers or motors emit much stronger alternating fields. In those cases it is usually possible to measure the frequency of that field from a much larger distance.

We are an Electrical Company and tested this program by using a power cord for an Electric Iron and connected it to power. We applied our iphone 5s as explained in the help menu and found it was working 100% 50.05frequency (Australia); Its good for Electrical Service Work when AC current is available
