The Stock Trade Calculator application is a must have risk management tool for both professional and part time traders.
This easy to use, three in one utility gives you key values for a trade. Choose one of the three calculators by selecting it from the bottom Tab Control.
The first calculator gives you the Reward / Risk ratio given an exit target, stop loss and entry price.
Second, the Quantity calculator gives you the number of shares to purchase for a given dollar risk amount, stop loss and entry price.
And third, the Entry Price calculator gives you the optimum purchase price based on target, stop loss and for a desired Reward / Risk.

To calculate the Reward / Risk for a given trade you should determine the exit target and stop loss prices based on your strategy. Next, determine the entry price by getting a real time quote or through your broker.
Enter the prices by touching the blank fields and typing on the number pad. Use the "C" button to clear a selected field and the "Del" key to backspace one number at a time.
The Reward / Risk is displayed on the top field when you press the "Calculate" button.

Calculate the Quantity or number of shares to buy given the dollar amount you are willing to loose on the trade. Determine the stop loss price based on your strategy and the entry price through your broker or a real time quote service. Figure out the maximum dollar loss for the trade based on sound and proven risk management techniques.
Enter the prices by touching the blank fields and typing on the number pad and press "Calculate" to obtain the desired Quantity on the top field.

To determine the optimum Price to Enter a trade first determine a desired reward / risk (usually greater than 3.0.) Based on your strategy, determine the exit target and stop loss prices. Enter the prices and R / R by touching the blank fields and typing on the number pad. Press "Calculate" to obtain the optimum Entry Price on the top field.
